Agents Hoping to Solve 30-Year-Old Murder Case

Chicago FBI agents and police are hoping you can help them solve a 30 year old murder case, once and for all.

Juan Ramos was 29 years old when Cook County prosecutors charged him with first degree murder in June of 1981. He's now 59 years old and still on the run.

Investigators say Juan Ramos shot Eduardo Ramos at a local tavern in the 19-hundred block of West Chicago Avenue. When the victim died from his wounds a few weeks after the shooting, Juan Ramos had already skipped town. Agents add the two men are not related

In 1999, police in Texas arrested Juan Ramos on the outstanding Chicago warrant. Investigators say he admitted to riding a greyhound bus out of town the day after shooting because he knew police were looking for him. However, Ramos was not extradited back to Illinois at that time because investigators were unable to locate any witnesses to the 1981 shooting.

 The case took another turn in 2005 when investigators were able to track down witnesses to the shooting and a judge issued another warrant for Ramos' arrest in Texas. However, he is still on the run.

Agents say Ramos could be hiding anywhere in Texas or he may have returned to Chicago. His last known address here was in the 800 block of north Hoyne.

Ramos is described as a Hispanic male, 59 years old, 5'6", 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. Ramos is considered armed and dangerous.

Two people were hit by the falling glass at about 8:45 a.m. and were taken to Roosevelt Hospital with minor injuries, according to police.

    Two thugs were caught on security camera footage beating a teenager and stealing from her inside an apartment building in the Midwood section of Brooklyn.  The NYPD says the attackers are seen dragging the 18-year-old out of an elevator into the hallway and punching and kicking her.
    Police have arrested one of two suspects wanted in the brutal attack of a teenager inside her apartment building in the Midwood section of Brooklyn. The thugs were caught on security camera footage beating the 18-year-old at about 9:34 on Sunday night. The attackers are seen dragging the girl out of an elevator into the hallway and punching and kicking her. Tyler Hopping, 18, was arrested on Wednesday.
