1 in 5 Chicagoans Uncertain About Next Meal

Posted:

A new study found that about one in five people who live in Chicago are uncertain where they will find their next meal.

The survey by the Greater Chicago Food Depository showed that the highest rates of food insecurity are in the Riverdale, Washington Park, Englewood, and North Lawndale neighborhoods.

The organization said the new findings will help them intensify their food distribution and program outreach to the communities most in need.
