Chicago's Most Wanted Schaumburg Bandit

Posted:

Chicago FBI agents want your help tracking down a bank robber who wore more than a hat and dark glasses to disguise him.

It was late afternoon on November 22nd, when a masked man held up the Parkway Bank in Schaumburg. As the bandit entered the bank, he was almost completely disguised. FBI agents say he was wearing hooded jacket, dark sunglasses, a bandana wrapped around his face and gloves.

While he hid his appearance well, this bank robber did not hide the weapon he was carrying. Agents say the bandit threatened bank employees with a black semi-automatic handgun that he held "gangster style." They also say he ordered a bank employee to go into the vault and fill his backpack with cash. Before he escaped, investigators say this bandit ordered everyone to get on the floor.

Despite the bank robber's efforts to hide his identity, FBI agents still want you to take a good look at his picture. They believe the bandana the suspect wore is "distinctive" and someone might recognize it. In cases like this, investigators add suspects often brag about either having a large amount of money or having actually robbed the bank.

Here is what investigators do know about what this bandit looks like. He is described as a white male, 20- 30 years old, about 5' 11" and has a thin build. This bandit was last seen wearing a dark baseball hat, a black jacket with a hood, a dark blue bandana with white spots covering his face, black gloves, and baggy blue jeans.

He is considered armed and dangerous.

If you have any information about this case, call the Chicago FBI bureau at (312) 421-6700.
