Fox Chicago has teamed up with the Greater Chicago Food Depository to bring awareness to hunger during this holiday season. At Columbia College in the Loop, the students were going all out to do their part, with a little help from the Chicago Cubs and Santa.
Last year they gathered thousands of pounds of food and $30,000 in cash.
Just $5 will provide 15 meals and more and more of the people in need have recently lost their jobs in this stalled economy.

Gethsemane Church of God and Christ in Englewood has a food pantry run by Reverend Dion and Debra McCarthy. They work with the Greater Chicago Food Depository, which has a special food drive going on now.
