Audience member Laura tells Dr. Oz that she is trying to embrace the aging process with her husband (both ages 47 and 50) but they are starting to have a hard time remembering names.
Laura asks Dr. Oz what to do to help fight the memory loss issues.
Dr. Oz tells Laura about a study that was done to aid memory loss not associated to Alzheimer’s. The study looked at the value of DHA omega 3’s in fish oils, which seemed to help memory.
Dr. Oz also emphasizes the importance of exercise for memory loss help, since it dilates the arteries of the brain and also releases chemicals to reduce inflammation in the brain, which both assist proper brain functions.
An audience member was recently diagnosed with a bad gall bladder that will soon be removed. The audience member asks Dr. Oz what the side effects will be from the removal.
Dr. Oz asks the audience member a couple more questions and discovers that she has a cystite, which is not just a gall bladder with stones, but a gall bladder with stones and intense pain.
Dr. Oz states risks are stones blocking the gall and the pancreas, a doctor cutting in the wrong place during surgery, and difficulty with some foods after surgery.
Dr. Oz further purports that the audience member should have no big issues, but to choose a doctor wisely, particularly a Dr. that has experience in gall bladder surgeries.
