Fox 29 Investigates: Drinking Postmen

Posted:

Three Philadelphia mail carriers are off the job and there’s a major shake-up in a city post office where they worked. It’s a direct result of a Fox 29 Investigation.

You can watch parts 1 and 2 of Jeff Cole's investigation in the video player to the left.

In response to Jeff Cole's report, we received the following statement from Special Agent Scott Balfour, Public Information Officer, U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General (USPS OIG):

"Special Agents with the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General take allegations of this nature very seriously, and will conduct a thorough investigation. Your viewers can report allegations of any postal employee misconduct, such as mail theft, financial embezzlement, or workers compensation fraud, by contacting the Office of Inspector General at www.uspsoig.gov or toll free at 888-USPS-OIG. These types of investigations are part of the Office of Inspector General's mission of preventing and detecting fraud, waste, and misconduct in the Postal Service and promoting the integrity and efficiency of postal programs."
