Building a Home for a Wounded Hero


Army Specialist Brendan Marrocco lost all four limbs after his MRAP hit a roadside bomb in Iraq in 2009. He is the only soldier to lose all four limbs in combat in Iraq or Afghanistan and survive.

Marrocco needs a specially equipped home, so Building Homes for Heroes and The Stephen Siller Children's Foundation joined forces to raise money and build a home for Marrocco on Staten Island.

Mid Island Collision on Long Island joined with Long Island Radio Group to raise money for troops overseas. Bob Jesberger, the owner of Mid Island Collision, is donating $10,000 to the effort to build a home for Marrocco.
