Anna Davlantes is co-anchor of Good Day Chicago. She is a Chicago native who came home by way of Houston, where she was a primary anchor for the Fox-owned station. She has also worked in Fort Wayne, Ind. and at WTTW in Chicago.

Anna has been awarded several Emmys for her work. She received a regional Emmy and was nominated for a national Emmy for anchoring breaking news coverage of the Hancock building's deadly scaffolding collapse.

In 2005, Anna received the prestigious Ethics Award In Journalism from the Chicago Headline Club for her series of reports that exposed mob involvement and corruption in a suburban government's affairs.

The American Bar Association recognized her with the Herman Kogan Award for her investigative reports on immigrant experiences in the criminal justice system.

Anna is an experienced diver and has received recognition for her underwater reports diving with sharks and marine life. Her documentary "Get Into The Shark Tank!" was shot partly inside the Shedd Aquarium's Wild Reef Exhibit  and received an Emmy. And she's credited with the first underwater live shot ever on a local newscast.

Anna has broken major stories during her time in Chicago.

In May 2003, Anna broke a story that drew widespread national attention when she brought the high school girl's Powder Puff Hazing ritual to public attention by obtaining the first videotape of the event. Anna appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show to discuss the issue of youth hazing, and her stories helped lead to nationwide school district reforms.

Anna is extremely active in Chicago-area community and charity events.

She grew up in Rogers Park on Chicago's North Side, and is a proud graduate of Chicago Public Schools, where she gives back by mentoring students and getting involved in local school programs.

As the daughter of a former serviceman, Anna has thrown several fundraisers for some of our area's most severely injured veterans returning from war. Her "Cheers For Heroes" event partners with grassroots veterans groups and has raised more than $400,000 in two years.

Anna graduated from Lane Tech High School where she was inducted into the Hall of Fame. She also studied under scholarship at Oxford University in England and graduated from the Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University.
