MYFOXNY.COM - John Huddy was an Emmy Award-winning general assignment reporter for Fox 5 News/ WNYW-TV who now works for Fox News Channel. Huddy began at Fox 5 News as a writer for Good Day New York in 2004. In 2008, he made the transition to on-air reporting, joining Fox 5's sister station, My9 News/WWOR-TV. In 2009, Huddy returned to Fox 5 to report for Good Day New York. Since then, Huddy has covered everything from breaking news to politics, the Yankees World Series victory parade, snow storms, tornadoes and heat waves.
He started his journalism career as a newspaper reporter for the Los Angeles Daily News. He also worked for newspapers in Idaho and New Mexico, earning investigative, feature and political reporting honors along the way. Before making the leap into television, Huddy was also the senior researcher on the New York Times best selling book "Storming Las Vegas."
An avid a skier, Huddy used his skills to cross-country ski live while reporting during a blizzard. He's also reported while surfing live on air during a Memorial Day Weekend preview story.
Huddy graduated from California Lutheran University with a degree in Communication Arts/Journalism.
