         <description>&lt;p&gt;Nearly 700,000 people called a federal hot line this week,
confused about the nationwide switch from analog to digital TV
broadcasts that occurred Friday. The Federal Communications
Commission said Saturday that nearly 30 percent of the calls
handled by agents from Monday to Friday were about how to operate
the digital converter boxes needed to receive signals on older
TVs.&lt;/p&gt;

consumers living in rural areas or on tribal lands and consumers
with disabilities.&lt;/p&gt;

antennas and analog TVs.&amp;#160; They will also adjust the antennas
already in place, scan and rescan converter boxes to the digital
channels available, integrate and existing VCR, and provide
guidance of the converter box.&lt;/p&gt;
