         <title>Priest's Death an Apparent Homicide</title>

         <description>&lt;p&gt;Detectives are investigating the apparent killing of a priest
inside the rectory of a church in Chatham, N.J. The body of
Reverend Edward Hinds, 61, the pastor of St. Patrick's Roman
Catholic Church on Washington Avenue, was found Friday morning. The
body had wounds "consistent with a homicide," according to Morris
County Prosecutor Robert Bianchi and a preliminary autopsy.&lt;/p&gt;

         <description>&lt;p&gt;Police in New Jersey are investigating bomb threats made to
three synagogues along the Jersey Shore. The threats turned out to
be false alarms, but police did evacuate the synagogues. At about
8:10 p.m. Tuesday, someone called the Deal Police Department and
said that bombs were about to explode at the Norwood Temple, the
Congregation Brothers of Israel, and Ohel Simha Temple, police
said.&lt;/p&gt;
