CinemaParque on the Handball Courts

Moviehouse presents CinemaParque, a series of six screenings projected on the handball courts of Sternberg Park in East Williamsburg. Both sides of the handball wall feature remarkable Spanish-language shorts, videos and documentaries (complete with sub-titles.) Following each screening the audience participates in an enriching and lively conversation with the talented filmmakers and curators.
In partnership with New Children/ New York, a youth program that uses filmmaking to explore the experience of growing up as a Latino immigrant in New York City Moviehouse will feature works by the young filmmakers followed by a moderated discussion. The final screening will be sponsored by the Dance Film Association and include live music, silent film and professional dancing.
