MYFOXNY.COM - MTA Metro-North Railroad is adding trains Friday to accommodate baseball fans who want to attend the tickertape parade for the World Champion New York Yankees up the "Canyon of Heroes" on Lower Broadway.
On the Hudson Line, an extra train will depart Poughkeepsie at 8:41 a.m. and make stops at New Hamburg, Beacon and Peekskill then go express to Grand Central, arriving at 10:11 a.m.
Going home, there will be an extra Poughkeepsie express departing Grand Central at 2:40 p.m.
On the Harlem Line, there will be an extra departure from Southeast at 8:30 a.m. making stops at Brewster, Goldens Bridge, Katonah, Mount Kisco, Chappaqua, North White Plains and White Plains and arrive at Grand Central Terminal at 9:48 a.m.
On the New Haven Line, cars will be added to targeted trains inbound in the morning and outbound in the afternoon.
The parade begins at 11 a.m. at Battery Place and proceeds up Broadway to Chambers Street. From Grand Central Terminal take the 4, 5 or 6 to any stop between Chambers and Bowling Green.
Some subway entrances and exits may be closed because of the crowds expected on the sidewalks.

The sidewalks lining Friday's ticker-tape parade up the Canyon of Heroes along Broadway from the Battery to City Hall are open to all members of the public.
The city will set up a large screen near City Hall Park for members of the public to watch the ceremony.
