STATEN ISLAND - The price to cross the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge is going up but not before some motorists put in their two cents... or more.
Drivers paid with as many pennies as they could to protest the dollar increase.

It will soon cost $11 to cross the bridge.
SkyFoxHD was over the protest on Monday afternoon.
Cars had painted anti-fare increase messages on windshields.
The bridge connects Brooklyn with Staten Island.
