FARMINGDALE, N.Y. -  Neighbors in the Long Island town that is hosting the U.S. Open are getting ready for the invasion.

Residents of the town of Farmingdale said the area becomes so crowded when the golf tournament is played at the nearby Bethpage Black course that they get used to strangers knocking on their doors and asking to use the bathroom.

Out-of-towners also forget where they parked and have to be driven around the neighborhood in search of their cars.

The last time the Open was at Bethpage was in 2002, Walter Kierych charged $25 to park in his driveway. He hasn't decided whether to do the same thing this year.
