Maria Sharapova Unveils Shoe and Bag Line

MYFOXNY.COM - Just days before taking the court for the U.S. Open, Maria Sharapova unveiled her new line of footwear and handbags. It's the Maria Sharapova Collection by Cole Haan. She conceived of the designs while she took time off from tennis to recover from a career-threatening shoulder injury.

Some young fans from the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Centers Junior Development Program got to meet Maria at the event, which was held at Rockefeller Center.

Maria, 22, says she loves wearing stiletto heels even though she is 6-foot-2 already. The three Grand Slam title-holder (Wimbledon 2004, U.S. Open 2006, Australian Open 2008) says she loves playing in Flushing Meadows and can't wait to hit the hard courts again.
