New York Celebrates Bombers' 27th Title

More than a million fans came out to the ticker-tape parade to celebrate the Yankees' World Series victory. The parade started on Broadway at Battery Place and continued uptown along the Canyon of Heroes to Chambers Street.

During a City Hall Plaza ceremony, Mayor Michael Bloomberg presented the Bronx Bombers with the Keys to the City.

The sidewalks lining Friday's ticker-tape parade up the Canyon of Heroes along Broadway from the Battery to City Hall were filled with fans.

The city set up a large screen near City Hall Park for members of the public to watch the ceremony.
