5 Fantasy Football Players to Add/Drop

Shonn Greene is getting his chance to shine for fantasy football owners. After a breakout game in Oakland, the New York Jets running back will take the carries previously given to Leon Washington, who is out with a broken leg.

"In the case of Shonn Greene, opportunity is knocking...or breaking, as the case may be," FantasyVictory.com expert Paul Charchian said. "Leon Washington broke his leg, and now Green gets to pick up the 15ish touches that Washington was getting every week."

Speaking of rookies, Austin Collie and Pierre Garcon have stepped up big in the Indianapolis Colts offense, proving to be reliable targets for Peyton Manning. Many fantasy owners drafted Anthony Gonzalez high and have waited patiently for his return.

"Here’s the problem," Charchian said. "He’s only starting to practice this week, which probably means that he’s another couple games away from playing. And even when he does return, he’s got major competition from Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie. When he does return, he’ll likely be in the rotation, but not the full time start. He’ll post a few decent games, but not consistently."

Owners looking for receiving help can look to the northeast in New England, where backup Sam Aiken is getting an opportunity after the Patriots released Joey Galloway and lost Julian Edelman to a broken arm.

In the last two games, Aiken has been targeted 10 times, put up 99 yards, and scored once.
