Football fever has apparently cooled at Rutgers University.
New Jersey's largest public university has sold season tickets to 35 percent of the 12,000 fans on its waiting list.
Athletic Director Tim Pernetti tells The Record of Bergen County ticket plans will be "restructured" as early as Wednesday in a bid to boost sales.
School officials last year said the waiting list justified borrowing $102 million to build 12,424 new seats. The new seating will increase the stadium's capacity to 52,454.
The work is scheduled to be completed in time for the home opener against Cincinnati on Labor Day.
The stadium expansion followed the team's breakthrough season in 2006.
