MYFOXNY.COM - A lot of people swing through highway rest stops for a quick bite to eat. A couple of criminals went through a NY Thruway for a quick robbery.
Police say it happened at about 2:45 a.m. on Friday morning at the Guilderland service area on the eastbound side of the Thruway.
Police say two men showed a gun to McDonald's employees and robbed the store.
No one was hurt. It's unclear how much money the store had.
The robbers were described as black males, medium build, approximately 5 foot 9 inches tall, one wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt and the other a red hooded sweatshirt.
Both subjects had bandannas covering their faces and fled in an unknown direction. It is unknown if they fled on foot or by vehicle.
