Long Island Family Gets Sprinkler System

MYFOXNY.COM - There is good news to report about a story Fox 5 broke in June. A Long Island family that was victimized by a con man now has a reason to smile -- and it's all thanks to a Good Samaritan who saw the Fox 5 investigation.

Maryanne and Dave Young now have a new sprinkler system installed, courtesy Richard Gasparino, a licensed contractor who owns Evermist Lawn Sprinklers. He saw report on how the Youngs gave a down payment Carlos Correa, who never finished installing their system.

The Youngs won a small claims court judgment against Correa for their $900. But collecting on that judgment won't be easy. Correa actually faces criminal charges. He is awaiting trial.
