Vacation Club Lawsuit, Part 3

Updated: Thursday, 10 Dec 2009, 8:35 PM EST
Published : Wednesday, 09 Dec 2009, 11:01 PM EST

MYFOXNY.COM - A travel club accused of being a scam by the New Jersey attorney general now appears to be back in business under a new name. Many of the players running the new operation are the same people Fox 5's Arnold Diaz blew the whistle on six months ago.

The New Jersey attorney general is suing the travel club that operates under several different names: Bentley Travel, Five Points Travel, Dream Vacations International, Dreamworks Vacation Club, and now Modern Destinations Unlimited.

The state's lawsuit alleges that the travel companies are all owned or controlled by Daryl T. Turner.

"The company names change but we allege the common thread of fraud and deception remains, all of it linked to Mr. Turner," Attorney General Anne Milgram said. "Our goal continues to be obtaining restitution for defrauded consumers and ensuring that these defendants comply with our laws and regulations."
