MYFOXNY.COM - A local father and son have made their house so green it actually produces more energy that it consumes. That means they never pay an electric bill.

Jamie and Kenny Minnick are a little obsessed with going green. They have been adding energy-saving contraptions to their house for decades. Jamie is an electrical engineer, and Kenny is a retired mechanic. They have solar panels, wind turbines, a geothermal pipe, and other gadgets that produce energy that they use and also provide to the utility company for energy credits.

Much of the equipment that makes your house an energy-producer can come with a steep price. But some utility companies will help you pay for the machinery, and the government also offers financial incentives that help offset the cost.

Jaime has a company called Eastern Energy Systems that specializes in the sales and installation of Solar PV, Solar Thermal, Wind, and Geothermal technologies.
