NEW YORK - Massachusetts Senator Edward Kennedy died late Tuesday from brain cancer.

Kennedy's younger years were spent traveling and living in various towns including Bronxville in Westchester County.

Fox 5 Reporter Katherine Creag visited the leafy suburb on Wednesday.

People outside St. Joseph's Church- where Kennedy was married in 1958- told Katherine they were deeply saddened by Kennedy's passing.

Kennedy and his first wife, Joan Bennett, exchanged vows at the church on Cedar Street a year after meeting at Manhattanville College.

Kennedy was there to deliver a speech.

The pair later divorced. Kennedy later married Victoria Reggie, a lawyer based in Washington.

They had three children together. Victoria Reggie Kennedy had two children from a previous marriage.
