LAKE GEORGE, N.Y. - Authorities say a bus has rolled onto its side and plowed into a rock ledge in the Adirondacks in northeastern New York, killing a woman pinned underneath. Nine others were hurt in the crash, but authorities say their injuries don't appear serious.
New York state police say the bus crashed around 3:15 a.m. Sunday on the Adirondack Northway in the town of Lake George, about 60 miles north of Albany. Police are investigating what caused the wreck.
The woman who died hasn't been identified. State police say she's believed to have been from New York City.
Warren County Fire Coordinator Brian LaFlure tells the Glens Falls Post-Star the nine injured victims were able to walk.
Glen Falls Hospital officials say three victims are hospitalized in fair condition and six others were treated and released.
It isn't immediately clear where the bus was going. State police say it was operated by a private company, which hasn't been identified.
