Police: Calif. Dad Takes Infant After Killing Mom

Police say they have located the 1-year-old girl who was abducted by her father from a San Francisco Bay area home after he beat the girl's mother to death.
Novato police Sgt. Jennifer Welch says the girl was found unharmed and that 27-year-old James Raphael Mitchell was detained early Monday. She declined to give further details.
Mitchell is suspected of killing the girl's mother Sunday and fleeing with 1-year-old Samantha Mitchell. Police found the woman dead in a yard when they responded to a call about a possible assault.
Welch says the girl was found within the state, but refused to release any additional details.
