Georgia Boy, 12, Fatally Shot by Playmate, 14, Police Say

Police say a 12-year-old East Point boy was shot and killed by a 14-year-old playmate at an apartment complex where both lived.
East Point Police Detective Cliff Chandler said investigators have yet to determine whether the shooting was intentional.
Chandler said the boys were playing alone inside the 14-year-old boy's home when the shooting occurred. He said the other family members were outside the apartment. Neither boy was identified.
He said authorities don't know how the older boy got the 12-gauge shotgun. Chandler said the boy was extremely distraught when told his friend had died.
