The man accused of trying to extort $2 million from 'Late Night' host David Letterman spoke briefly to Fox 5 Reporter Christine Persichette.
It was Robert Halderman's first words to the public since he was arrested on extortion charges.
Halderman spoke with Persichette outside his home in Norwalk, Connecticut on Wednesday.
"I can't make any comment and I understand you're just trying to do your job... there is nothing I can say. I hope you have a very nice day... there is nothing I can say, but thank you very much." And with that, Halderman shut the front door on Persichette.
Halderman's neighbors told Persichette that they believe there is more to this story than Letterman is leading people to believe.
