School Bus Accident on Staten Island

MYFOXNY.COM - A school bus carrying children and an SUV collided on Staten Island Thursday afternoon, authorities said.

SkyFoxHD was over the scene, where the yellow school bus and the SUV appeared to have crashed through a fence and ended up in the yard of a home at Kingdom Avenue at Billou Street in the Huguenot section.

The FDNY said that medica checked out 26 children and two adults, but only three people were hurt. Medics treated most of the injuries at the scene. They transported one adult to Staten Island University Hospital.

Preliminary police radio transmissions indicated that two people in the SUV had to be pried out of the wreck.

The children were from the nearby Our Lady Star of the Sea School.
