Search For Starbucks Bombers

NEW YORK - The NYPD is looking in to similarities between an explosion outside a Starbucks in Manhattan on Monday and three other small explosions in the last four years.

Investigators are hoping someone will come forward with more information on the person or people responsible.

(AP) -- Traffic and business are back to normal on Manhattan's Upper East Side following a small bomb blast. 

No one was injured in the explosion early Monday.  It destroyed a sidewalk bench and shattered windows at a  Starbucks. The coffee shop, near the Guggenheim museum, was open on  Tuesday morning, although the windows hadn't yet been fixed.

Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly said investigators were  looking into the similarities between the explosion and three others in the last four years.

Those occurred at the British consulate in May 2005, the Mexican consulate in October 2007 and the Times Square military recruiting station in March 2008.

Starbucks said in a statement Tuesday that customer and employee safety is its top priority. The company said it is unable to discuss specifics because an investigation is ongoing.
