Man Beaten In Greenwich Village

NEW YORK - The hunt is on for the person who left a 50-year-old man in critical condition in the West Village.

The NYPD says a group of men were taunting the man across 7th Avenue South and Christopher Street at around 2 a.m.

According to police, one man from the group crossed the street and beat the 50-year-old victim. 

His blood could still be seen hours later at the corner of 7th Avenue South and Christopher Street.

He is being treated at St. Vincent's Hospital.
