NEW YORK - More than 200,000 customers in the New York City area are still without power in the wake of the weekend storm that brought down trees and downed power lines.
Consolidated Edison says about 130,000 customers still need to have power restored. Across Long Island, about 100,000 Long Island Power Authority customers are still in the dark.
Orange and Rockland Utilities says it has about 23,000 customers without power.
Police on Long Island are investigating the death of a 73-year-old Brooklyn woman who was killed Saturday night in Bay Shore when a tree fell on her as she was walking to her car.
