Baby Hurt in Fall in Mount Vernon

MYFOXNY.COM - An emotionally disturbed woman walked naked for blocks in Mount Vernon holding a baby and nobody stopped her, a according to eyewitnesses.

The 23-year-old naked woman clutched her 5-month-old baby boy until she reached St. Ursula's Church on East Lincoln Avenue. The woman apparently tried to get into the church and couldn't. She then dropped or threw the baby at least twice, sources told Fox 5.

A man then grabbed the baby to protect him.

Then Mount Vernon's Police Commissioner, who just happened to be walking by, got involved. He made sure the baby got taken to a hospital.

The baby was subsequently transferred to Westchester County Medical Center, where he is in critical condition.
