Police investigating the killing of a convention organizer at a suburban New York hotel say they have ruled out his wife as a suspect.
Rye Brook Police Chief Gregory Austin says Narci Novack is not a suspect. She discovered her husband's beaten body Sunday in their room at the Hilton Rye Town.
He says preliminary autopsy results show Ben Novack Jr. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., was bludgeoned with a blunt object.
Novack was president of Convention Concepts Unlimited. He was running an Amway convention at the hotel.
He was the son of Ben Novack Sr., founder of the famous Fontainebleau Hotel in Miami Beach.
Police were reviewing surveillance tape and interviewing guests on Monday.
