MYFOXNY.COM - A school teacher was found dead, stabbed more than 80 times. On Monday, police were still looking for her ex-husband as a "person of interest" in the case.

Judith Novellino was found dead in her home on Saturday evening. The 62-year-old high school English teacher was killed in what Morris County Prosecutor Robert A. Bianchi Esq said, "can only be described as a very brutal and violent encounter."  The autopsy confirmed she died from blunt force trauma.

A relative made a 911 call to the Denville Township police department at 7:02 p.m after finding her body inside of the home.

Police said they are looking to speak to Anthony Novellino, 63, who recently divorced her but still lived in the home with her. Judith Novellino was set to move out of the house later in the week.

He was last seen driving a black 1992 Mazda Miata with a tan convertible roof.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Morris County prosecutor's office Major Crime Unit at 973-285-2900, Denville Township police department at (973) 627-4900 or the Morris County sheriff's office crime stopper program at 973-COPCALL (973-267-2255).

Novellino was a teacher at Morris Catholic High School for more than 25 years. The school is already in summer recess.
