MYFOXNY.COM - Vomiting passengers on a taxiing American Airlines plane forced the pilot to abort takeoff and return to the gate.

The Port Authority says four passengers from the same family said they were ill and started vomiting.

The Port Authority says the family had arrived in New York yesterday on a flight from Paris and had cleared customs.

The sick passengers were taken from the plane and taken by two ambulances to Newark University Hospital.

The Centers For Disease Control and Prevention has been alerted and the CDC is investigating the situation.

American Airlines flight #1485 was scheduled for a 9:20 a.m. departure to Dallas.  It was cleared to take off after the sick passengers were removed from the plane.
