MYFOXNY.COM - A black bear decided to hang out in a tree in a residential area of Wayne, N.J., Monday afternoon. The bear sat on a branch for a while, chomping on leaves and relaxing.

Police and wildlife officials responded to the scene, but said there was no real immediate danger.

Eventually they shot it with a tranquilizer. It climbed down the tree and made a run for it. Wildlife officials chased it into a neighboring yard, where they finally subdued it, according to a NorthJersey.com report.

Onlookers gathered to watch the drama unfold. No one was hurt.

Resident Sara Gordon sent in some photos of the bear (see photos tab).
