HACKENSACK, NEW JERSEY - A 23-year-old man walking along an off-ramp of Route 80 West in Hackensack was struck and killed by a car.
New Jersey State Police say a green colored Honda Civic fled the scene early Friday morning.
NJ State Police say Jordan S. Pettway, of Englewood, was revived at the scene and taken to Hackensack University Medical Center where he later died from head trauma and internal injuries.

The man was hit at around 2:40 a.m. on Friday as he walked along Polifly Road at Exit 64B.
It's not clear why he was walking along the road.
