MYFOXNY.COM - Scaffolding in East Harlem collapsed, forcing firefighters to remove a construction worker with non-life threatening injuries on Tuesday.

Fox 5's Linda Schmidt reported from the scene at 232 East 97th Street that the 4-story residential building was being treated for asbestos abatement on the side of the building.

A construction worker was either on the scaffold as it was being lowered and fell off of it or he may have been under it as the scaffolding fell on top of him.

The victim was not trapped.

Firefighters removed and decontaminated him and he was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
