MYFOXNY.COM - Wedding dresses went flying inside the Filene's/SYMS department store on the Upper West Side on Friday.
The annual 'Running of the Brides' event which is known to bring out the competitive nature of the deal seekers was as chaotic as ever.
"It was crazy," Lauren Grace of Woodbridge, N.J., told the Associated Press. She bought a gown originally on sale for $3,000 for less than $500.
The store opened its doors at 8 a.m. to a massive crowd that started gathering outside at around 4 a.m.
SkyFoxHD was over the scene on Friday. Reporter Kai Simonsen told Good Day New York that for 90 seconds, brides-to-be are given the opportunity to buy dresses originally priced up to $10,000 for $249 to $699.
The store at 2232 Broadway and 80th Street is also celebrating another big event: its 10th anniversary.
