Johnny Damon, one of the World Series heroes for the New York Yankees, took time to talk to Andy Adler at the start of the Yankees victory parade through the financial district's Canyon of Heroes.
The ticker-tape parade started on Broadway at Battery Place and continued uptown along the Canyon of Heroes to Chambers Street.
A ceremony was planned at City Hall Plaza, where Mayor Michael Bloomberg was to present the Bronx Bombers with the Keys to the City.

>LIST: FAMOUS TICKER-TAPE PARADES IN NYC< The sidewalks lining Friday's ticker-tape parade up the Canyon of Heroes along Broadway from the Battery to City Hall were filled with fans.
The city set up a large screen near City Hall Park for members of the public to watch the ceremony.
