Authorities have captured Thursday night the robbery suspect who slipped out of a courthouse this week, the Department of Correction said.
Officers arrested Ronald Tackman as he came off a bus in Washington Heights at about 9 p.m., authorities said.
Wednesday morning, authorities brought Ronald Tackman, 55, from Rikers Island to Manhattan Criminal Court for a pretrial hearing. Tackman somehow got away from guards and slipped out of the courthouse.
He was wearing a three-piece suit, and a court officer apparently mistook him for a lawyer.
Tackman is charged with five robberies and an attempted robbery in Manhattan in 2007 and 2008 as well as a robbery in Queens in 2008. He is due in court on the Queens case Thursday. He was originall arrested in May 2008.
After Tackman's escape, Correction Commissioner Dora Schriro ordered a top-to-bottom review of security procedures.
