MYFOXNY.COM - A yellow cab jumped a curb and ran into the outside of a subway station at W. 72nd Street and Broadway on Manhattan's Upper West Side.

The cab driver, a passenger, and a pedestrian were hurt, the NYPD said. The cabbie and his passenger were conscious and taken to hospitals. A woman who was struck by flying debris was also treated, the AP reported.

The driver swerved to avoid another vehicle while changing lanes and lost control, the police said. Officers did not issue any summonses.

Photos taken just after the accident showed the crumpled front end of the SUV and a man on the ground next to it.

It happened just before 4 p.m. on Tuesday in an area of the city that's often crowded.

The FDNY and NYPD responded to the scene.
