STAMFORD, Conn. - A gym in Stamford, Connecticut says it will return money it has been withdrawing from a murder victim who was a member of the club.

The Planet Fitness continued to take $15 a month out of Gregory Rowell's bank account after his shooting death in 2007.

The money ended up reaching about $400.

The victim's mother didn't know about the account that was being accessed.

The Advocate reported that Planet Fitness at first blamed Patricia Rowell for not notifying the bank about her son's death. A Planet Fitness spokesman says a manager initially mishandled the situation.
