MYFOXNY.COM - A natural gas leak that sparked manhole fires in Downtown Brooklyn caused problems but normal 4 & 5 service has resumed without delays.
No subway equipment was damaged during the incident, there were no customer or employee injuries; however subway service between Downtown Brooklyn and Lower Manhattan was disrupted for most of the afternoon.

FDNY officials say five manholes exploded along Columbia Place this afternoon. There are no reports of injuries.

Several streets are closed in the area.
