Yankee Stadium Run/Walk For Cancer Research

MYFOXNY.COM - They were running on the warning track but they weren't Yankee players or the opposition as the Damon Runyon 5k Run/Walk came to Yankee Stadium on Sunday.

More than 4,000 participants took part in the run/walk including cancer patients and survivors, family, friends, supporters and scientists.

Proceeds will support today's best, young scientists funded by the Damon Runyon Cancer Research Foundation.

The Yankees were on the road playing Kansas City while the stadium was in use.
