John McNamara Loses Battle to Cancer

New York City Firefighter John McNamara, a hero of the World Trade Center attacks, died today of cancer.
McNamara is the latest firefighter to die of an illness related to his work at Ground Zero.
He was a 10-year FDNY veteran who was a first responder on 9/11. He was assigned to Engine Company 234 in Crown Heights
McNamara was 43 years old. He leaves behind his wife, Jen and a 2-1/2 year old son, Jack.
