A large earthquake has hit underwater off of Tonga.
The U.S. Geological Survey says it was a 6.8-magnitude earthquake.
It hit 3:04 a.m. Wednesday, local time 130 km (80 miles) ENE of NUKU'ALOFA, Tonga.
Tonga is in the south Pacific Ocean. No Tsunami warnings were issued after the earthquake.
