MYFOXNY.COM - At the elite and competitive Stuyvesant High School in Lower Manhattan -- where the list of alumni includes Nobel laureates, seniors came up with a list that raised some eyebrows.
They compiled what's called a "crush list": who you like, who likes you. It was posted on Stuyvesant's Class of 2010 Facebook page. The list was also in full view since last week in a hallway at the high school.
"I'm sure everyone's been curious who their crushes are or who has crushes on them," said one male student.
"It's just funny," said Rayna Foster, a senior. "There's one more week left of school, so you can't really make anything of what happened."
Some students took it a step further, saying "I'd tap that" about a classmate. It's slang for wanting to have sex with that person. Other students were labeled "hotties."
Some teachers at the high school admit they find the term "I'd tap that" offensive.
Teachers Fox 5 spoke with didn't want to go on-camera, but one said students should get rid of the list for next year.
For the most part, students told us, it's all in good fun.
"Since it's the last week of school, it's just fun for everyone," said Carolyn Brill, a senior. "We're all leaving in a week anyway.
