Conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh compared President Barack Obama's health care logo to Nazi imagery Thursday on his afternoon show.
Limbaugh cited the conservative blog Sweetness & Light , and told his listeners the Organizing for American Health Care logo looked like a Nazi symbol.
"They accuse of us being Nazis, and Obama's got a health care logo that's right out of Adolf Hitler's playbook," said Limbaugh , who then went on to compare the Democratic party to the Nazi party. On his Web site , images of the logo are posted next to Nazi images.
Limbuagh was responding to comments House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, a Democrat from California, made about people who have been disrupting health care meetings around the country. About the protesters she said, "I think they're AstroTurf, you be the judge. They're carrying swastikas and symbols like that to a town meeting on health care."
Obama's health care logo combines his campaign logo with the caduceus, the ancient Greek symbol of medicine.
Last week "Obama Joker" posters brandished with "socialism" were posted around Los Angeles. And this week Sen. John Cornyn, a Republican from Texas, questioned the White House's post for people to contact them about "fishy" health care information.
